Madame LeRoux & Krewe
MADAME LEROUX & KREWE's endless enthusiasm delivers a rousing, rollicking, heart thumpin', foot stompin' musical gumbo y'all won't soon forget! With a New Orlean's Rhythm & Blues sound straight off of Bourbon Street and Louisiana's dance halls... this is the party you'll want to throw!

Front-woman Michele Lundeen, the award-winning vocalist dubbed “Madame LeRoux,” adds color, flair and just the right dose of Mardi Gras rhythm & blues, swamp, zydeco, blues and boogie. Whether dressed in full-feathered-regalia or her trademark beret, this soulful sister will stir your senses with her voice, energy and rubboard. Aside from her popular band, "Krewe," she also fronts Michele Lundeen & Blues Streak and has been a longtime feature of the Bayou Brothers Zydeco/Cajun band.

The Krewe share a love of Mardi Gras' N'Awlin's Rhythm & Blues and rockin' boogie dance grooves and season it with a little Cajun/Zydeco. Band members can include John January (guitar/vocals); bass/vocals of John Simons or Danny Perez; Walter Gentry (sax); Ric Lee, Scott Woker or Tony Peterson (drums/vocals); and Leo Dombecki (keys/sax), Otis Thompson (keys/accordion), Kenny Ard (keys) or the Sue Palmer (piano/accordion) and plenty of interactive rhythmic percussion.

The charismatic Gentry brings the New Orleans sound to the band playing tenor, alto, and soprano sax. He's performed all over 'The Big Easy' and toured the world with the award winning New Orleans' Bluesman, Mem Shannon. Kenny Ard is a New Orleans native and exudes the 'Big Easy' sound naturally. Leo Dombecki tours with the dynamic Sugaray Rayford and Sue "Queen of Boogie Woogie" Palmer is a fave around the globe! The Krewe has also included John “Squeezebox” Chambers, on accordion, keyboards, and vocals. Chambers and Lee are also members of popular San Diego based band, the Bayou Brothers.

The Krewe players have entertained at festivals, concerts, clubs, community and private events in Southern and Northern California and Nevada, Arizona, and more. Past events include two prestigious TGIF Jazz In The Park series concerts, the Bon Temp Social Club New Year's Party, multiple Gator By The Bay festivals, Belly Up Tavern, Tio Leo's (zydeco dance night), Balboa Park, Hyatt Regency "Microsoft" corporate party, Pauma Casino Mardi Gras and many more.
