Madame LeRoux & Krewe
Madame LeRoux & Krewe
MADAME LEROUX & KREWE will rock you right on into "Fat Tuesday" with their extensive experience and endless enthusiasm to deliver a rousing, rollicking, heart thumpin', foot stompin' musical gumbo y'all won't soon forget! With a sound straight out of Louisiana's dance clubs, Bourbon Street, bayou festivals and backyard crawfish boils... this is the party you'll want to throw!

The band members share a love of Cajun and Zydeco music and season it with blues, rock and boogie. Front-woman Michele Lundeen, the award-winning vocalist dubbed “Madame LeRoux,” adds color, flair and just the right dose of Mardi Gras swamp, blues, and boogie. Whether dressed in full-feathered-regalia or her trademark beret, this soulful sister will stir your senses with her voice and energy. Aside from her popular band, "Krewe," she also fronts Michele Lundeen & Blues Streak and has been a longtime feature of the Bayou Brothers Zydeco/Cajun band.

Band members include John January on guitar and vocals; bassist "Diamond" Dave Lindgren or Danny Perez; saxman Walter Gentry, and drummers Ric Lee or Tony Peterson laying down the Zydeco/Cajun, Rhythm & Blues and rockin' dance grooves. The charismatic Gentry brings the New Orleans sound to the band playing tenor, alto, and soprano sax. He's performed all over 'The Big Easy' and toured the world with the award winning New Orleans Bluesman, Mem Shannon. The Krewe has also included John “Squeezebox” Chambers, on accordion, keyboards, and vocals. Chambers and Lee are also members of popular San Diego based band, the Bayou Brothers band.

These artists have been entertaining at festivals, concerts, clubs, and community and private events in Southern and Northern California and Nevada, Arizona, and more. Past events include Gator By The Bay, Julian Blues Bash, Long Beach Bayou and Mardi Gras Festival, Belly Up Tavern, Balboa Park, Calico Days, Hyatt Regency "Microsoft" corporate party, Pauma Casino Mardi Gras, Coronado Concerts in the Park and many, many more. They are well known for their enthusiastic shows, bluesy Zydeco accordion grooves and up tempo Cajun romps. Performances are tailored to meet the client's needs.
